When visitors arrive at the gallery, they often overlook the Hand of Plato sculpture on the west side of the gallery.
This special piece of work was created by Dr Rhyl Hinwood. She noted as the creator of the Australia Coat of Arms that is displayed in the House of Representatives. Parliament House, Canberra along with many significant sites in Brisbane. Check and then name the 3-D object at the end on each finger.
We aim to promote the importance of mathematics within the community by helping prospective students and educators harness the skills that will enable them to thrive in an increasingly mathematical world.
